Perdu - Richard Jones

The story follows a small dog with night-black fur as he journeys from the countryside to the city in search of a place to be. The city is a big place when you are very small, but is it possible that someone is looking out for Perdu? Perdu is a tender story about kindness, friendship and finding a place to call home.

I grew up in the Midlands before moving down to Devon to study graphic design at university. I returned to complete a research degree and after graduating for a second time began working at Exeter's city library. I stayed at the library for nearly 14 years, working in all departments. However, it was my time in the children’s library which reignited my love of picture books and I began to wonder once again if I shouldn’t be making them myself…
I now write and illustrate full time.
