How do I find out when a book was published?

The Channel Island Children’s Book Award is looking for books which were published for the first time in English in 2019. You can usually find the year it was published within the first few pages of the book. One way is to do a search for the book on Amazon or another bookseller website as this usually gives the publication date. Please note you must be careful with this method as they may have different publication dates for paperback and hardcover copies. If you’re still not sure when a book was published or if it’s eligible then please either contact us for an answer or nominate it anyway and we will do the hard work for you!

Are there any websites which might have new book recommendations?

Can anyone vote for a winner?

The CICBA is a book award aimed at children aged 9-12 within the Channel Islands but we would encourage anyone who would enjoy reading the books to take part. In the future, we are hoping to introduce more awards for different age groups so that everyone can get involved.
